Imphal, May 31 2017:
Greeting the people on the eve of its 7th raising day, the PREPAK (Pro) has today urged the people to be aware of the likely fallouts of the international events when the people are caught between the forces of globalisation and anti-globalisation trend.
In a statement issued to the press, chairman of the outfit, L Palliba M said that today the USA has adopted the slogan of USA first and led its people towards economic Nationalism; the United Kingdom has walked out of the European Union and is today referred to as a 'free UK;' voices are today being raised in some countries to walk out of the EU.
However the Indian Government is still pursuing the globalisation agenda and it is under this that designs have been put in place to submerge the smaller communities through socio-economic-cultural hegemony.
The outfit also urged the people to be wary of the outcome of the multi pronged strategy pursued via the railway, Asian Highway, Cultural University, Sports University, Film and TV Institution and other deve- lopment programmes.
The act of tying up a Kashmiri civilian in front of an army vehicle in the face of the stone pelting protest resorted to by the people of Kashmir and the justification to this act given by uttering that the army also need human rights protection is a reflection of the mindset of India, alleged PREPAK (Pro) .
Even noted writer Arundhati Roy was mocked and threatened that she may also be tied up in front of a vehicle, by some leaders of India, said the outfit and added that this shows that the utterance that Indian army need human rights means that they have the right to torture the civilians.
Now the police has also finalised setting up a 'Halter List,' which means that those in the list can be tied up in front of the army vehicles to be used as human shields during confrontations with the civilians, claimed the outfit.
Many countries have offered to mediate to resolve the Kashmir issue, but India has always refused to listen to these offers.
However when the Pakistan Military Court delivered the order to hang Khulbushan Jadhav, India did not hesitate in approaching the International Court of Justice (which is expected from the Government of India).
This shows the double standard of India, it said and recalled that India has refused to listen to the UN Resolution to resolve the Kashmir issue.
To brain wash the people, India in cahoots with the rich and mighty have launched numerous TV programmes and Bollywood films.
Numerous Hindi films are being produced by Bolly-wood to erode regional languages, customs, traditions, family values obliterating the language, custom, religion of the smaller communities.
Till date no Bollywood film has shown the reason why the Maoist/Naxalite movement started, why numerous civilians are killed on a daily basis in Kashmir.
On the contrary these films have been depicting the Kashmiri people as terrorists, giving a totally false picture of the reality in Kashmir, it alleged.
No Bollywood film has also been made on the farmers' suicide in India, it further alleged.
The Indian media too has been keeping quiet on this.
Instead Bollywood films have been dulling the senses of the people by dressing up the farmers in fancy clothes and making them dance and sing, it said and recalled the saying when Rome was at its peak 'If you can't feed the people, show them games and circus to make them forget their pain" .
Today in Manipur films are being made along the lines of Hindi films, without addressing any of the social problems.
The University of Culture and Manipur State Film and Television Institute have been set up just to fool the people to assist the cultural invasion of India, said the outfit further.
The rapid invasion of Bollywood culture means that the people of Manipur will one day forget their culture.
The outfit also recalled the statement of former Governor of Manipur, Shanmuganathan, who asked cultural doyens of the State to define culture in 100 words not so long back.
This is a blatant demonstration to see how far the culture of Manipur is tied up with the culture of India, it alleged.
This is nothing but the hidden agenda of the Government of India to obliterate the native people of the land through its Act East Policy.
Today even the minerals of the land are being extracted by agencies from outside Manipur, it observed and added that this shows that there is no one to counter the move of the Government of India.
This is due to the fact that Manipur has no real political leader and also due to the fact that India has been continuously working to subdue via its economic and political agenda.
The Indo-Manipur conflict is due to the fact that Manipur was forcibly made to merge with India, it claimed.
The conflict can only be resolved when Manipur and India exist as two different Nations.
It is also unfortunate that during the recently held Barak Spring Festival one speaker said that if not for the Naga issue no one would have known about the people of North East, it added.
This is against the historical fact of the fight against the British invasion, the treaties signed between Manipur and the neighbouring countries, added the statement.
All should be proud of the history of Manipur, it added.
