ERDO stresses economic visions in poll menu

Economic Resource Development Organisation (ERDO), Kangleipak general secretary Shanta Nahakpam has urged all those intending to contest in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election in 2022 to include suggestions in their respective election manifestoes on how to improve the economy of the state.
Addressing a press meet held at the Chingmeirong office of ERDO here Saturday, Shanta said that Manipur is an economically unstable state, despite the state government formulating a good economic policy.
Urging the candidates who are planning to contest the upcoming polls to include opinions on how to improve the economy of the state in their respective manifestoes; he said that failing to do so would mean the candidates do npt care, about the people.
He then said that the budget of the state runs into deficit every year, in addition to low rate of tax collection, owing to the inability of the cottage industries to earn a profit and the people's preference for government jobs.
