Government urged to trace missing IBSD staff

Imphal, May 26 2023:
The IBSD Staff Welfare Association has urged the state govern-ment to intensify search operation to help locate the whereabouts of its staff Atom Samarendra who has gone missing since May 6 .
Addressing media per-sons at the Takyelpat IBSD office on Friday, Associa-tion president Dr N Samar-jit said that Samarendra, who is a junior assistant administrator at IBSD, went missing since May 6 .
According to family mem-bers he contacted his fam-ily members around 4:30 pm of May 6 informing that he was at Sangaith-el Olympian Park.

Since then, his mobile phone has been in switch off mode.
Though the state gov-ernment along with the central security forces have been conducting search operation for the last 21 days, his where-abouts could not be as-certained till date, he said and appealed to all con-cerned to set him free on humanitarian ground and considering the traumatic experience of his family members.
