State native bags ArP's best teacher award

Moirangthem Surchand of Tentha Khongbal, Thoubal district has been conferred Arunachal Pradesh's Best Teacher Award 2022 by the government of Arunachal Pradesh during the Teachers' Day celebration held in commemoration of the birth anniversary of former president of India Dr Radhakrishnan on Monday.
Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu presented the award to Surchand in recognition of his sincerity, dedication and exemplary services in the teaching profession during the function attended by the state's education minister Er Taba Tedir.
The award carries Rs 25,000 in cash, certificate and a memento.
Surchand, who is a graduate teacher at Government Higher Secondary School, Chongkham in Arunachal Pradesh's Namsai district, has become the first Manipuri to get the state's best teacher's award.
