Ibudhou Awang Koubru shrine inaugurated

A shrine of Ibudhou Awang Koubru and a Maibi (priestesses) Shanglen newly constructed in Phayeng village were inaugurated by social welfare minister H Dingo on Wednesday.
Speaking at the inauguration function, minister Dingo informed that only when we sincerely protect, preserve and follow the age-old customs, traditions, beliefs and culture practiced by our forefathers, we would be able to show to the world what we really are.
Chakpa Pheiyeng village is an old village and the shrines need to be developed, he stressed while informing that all possible efforts are being made from his side in this regard.
He also assured to leave no stone unturned for uni form development of every village in Sekmai assembly constituency.
The function was also attended by leaders of Phayeng village.
The minister, after the function, also inspected newly-constructed roads and structures around the Ibudhou Koubru shrine.
