Imphal, March 13 2023: As a part of its civic action programme, 86 Battalion CRPF of Manipur & Nagaland Sector distributed water storage tanks to vil lagers of Longmai Part-III in Noney district on Monday.

The distribution programme was attended by 86 Bn commandant Mo-hamand Yusuf, battalion officers and Longmai Part-III village chairman Kasaigai Gangmei among others.

Speaking on the occasion, commandant Yusuf recounted that in an earlier civic action programme a meeting was held with Longmai Part-III villagers wherein the locals requested him to provide water storage tanks as they are facing acute shortage of water during the hot and dry summer months.

Accordingly, the water storage tanks were provided with the aim to fulfil the critical needs of the local populace, he said.

During the programme, Longmai Part-III village chairman Kasaigai Gangmei lauded the initiative of 86 Battalion CRPF and extended heartfelt gratitude with the hope that many more similar events would continue in future.
