UCM distributes fertiliser, seeds to farmers

Imphal, August 26 2022:
Continuing its campaign for attaining self-reliance in terms of food production, United Committee Manipur (UCM) organised another training programme for farmers and distributed fertilisers and Rabi crop seeds at Lamsang Makha Leikai community hall on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, UCM president Joychandra Konthoujam stressed the need for putting concerted efforts for making Manipur self-reliant in terms of food production.
He also called upon parents to encourage their children have the sense of patriotism, which is the key for development in every sphere.
Imphal West district agriculture officer S Kennedy, UCM Lamsang unit chairperson Victoria Laishram, social worker Th Ibohal and local senior citizen N Apabi also attended the event as the presidium members.
UCM distributed 60 bags of urea, 10 sprayer pumps and Rabi crop seeds to the participating farmers on the occasion.
