Imphal, November 23 2021: Rama Foundation (RAMAF) organised series of Free Mushroom Cultivation Training programmes to promote self-employment and income generation among youth and unemployed people of the state.

A press release issued by RAMAF PRO Nonganba S informed that the training programmes were organised at Shungriphai in Kamjong district from November 14 to 16; Green Biotech, Lamsang on November 17 and 18; and at Old Lambulane from November 20 to 22 .

The programme at Shungriphai was participated by people from five districts while participants at the Lamsang programme included trainees from four districts.

Regional awardee Soram Rajendra Kumar delivered talks on the scientific methods of mushroom cultivation, diseases, poisonous species of mushroom, marketing and financial assistance, etc, at the training programme held at Old Lambulane, the release said.
