SBI reaches out to shelter homes

Churachandpur, October 05 2022:
State Bank of India (SBI) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on Wednesday donated various items worth Rs 4.50 lakh to the Ruth Blessed Home for Aged & Big Brothers Overcomers.
The donated items included one 190 litres refrigerator, 40 room heaters, 40 ceiling fans, 10 water filters, 40 hot water bags, 20 blankets, 20 mattresses, 24 chairs, 6 tables, 4 plastic water storage tank (2000 Itr), and 18 wooden beds.
The items were handed over by Lunkim Thangboi, general manager (NW-II) SBI NE-Circle, during a well-attended programme on "Mega Credit Camp on Credit Linkage andGSS" at ECA Church Hall at K Salbung village in Churachandpur.
Earlier, Lunkim Thangboi had presented a cheque amount of Rs 4.50 lakh to the Widow Welfare Association.
Prior to of the event, an SBI branch at K Salbung village was inaugurated with Saikot MLA Paolienlal Haokip, Lunkim Thangboi and other officials of SBI Imphal and Churachandpur in attendance.
The main event of the inaugural programme was also held here preceding the Mega Credit Camp.
During his speech, MLA Paolienlal appreciated the SBI team for organising a community-based event.
Lunkim Thangboi highlighted the number of assistance/donations and contributions by the SBI to various sports personalities, the Durand Cup and for the fight against the Covid pandemic among others.
