Imphal, September 01 2021:
All Manipur Students Guardians' Organisation said that transfer of teachers of TG Higher Secondary School amidst the ongoing hectic process for admission is unreasonable and such untimely transfer of teachers is one main obstacle to bringing quality education in the state.
According to a statement issued by Organisation's secretary Sumati Sougrakpam, transfer order for some teachers of the School, was issued on August 24 when students and parents in large' numbers started to throng the institute for admission process on a daily basis.
Government cannot bring improvement in any government school overnight by investing huge money but it requires adequate teachers for all subjects, good infrastructures and adequate class rooms for making higher secondary schools better and compatible with private schools.
It was very unfortunate that vice principal of a prominent girls' higher secondary school of the state was transferred amid the busy schedules, she said and drew attention of the education minister in this regard.
There might be unforeseen reason behind transfer of the vice principal but the manner in which the transfer order was issued hurriedly is questionable and this might even affect academic atmosphere of the school, she said and demanded review of the transfer order issued on August 24 for keeping intact academic atmosphere of the school.
