Shots fired at three places in Keirao

Imphal, February 01 2022: In separate incidents, unidentified miscreants opened several rounds of gunshots at three places in Keirao A/C.Miscreants opened fire at the Keirao Mayai Leikai residence of Keirao Gram Panchayat ward member Sagolshem Baleshwar, who is active worker of MLA Lourembam Rameshwar, on Tuesday around 1.30 am.

Stones were also pelted at his residence.

Fortunately, there was no report of injuries.

Unknown persons also fired several rounds in the air near the residence of Sagolshem Sanjit, son of S Birchandra of Keirao Bitra Makha Leikai, another active worker of MLA Rameshwar.

Meanwhile, another firing incident took place at Irilbung Kabui Khul, where miscreants) fired three rounds on Monday around 11.30 pm.

Irilbung police has taken up a case in this regard for investigation and some empty cases from the incident sites have been recovered.

Condemning the firing in residential areas, locals and meira paibi staged sit-in protest at Keirao Bitra Mayai Leikai.
