Committee oversees preparation for Singju Festival 2022

Imphal, December 09 2022:
Members of the 6th Singju Festival Committee 2022 on Friday visited the festival venue at Marjing Polo Complex, Heingang to oversee the preparation being made for the festival to be held from December 28 to January 8, 2023 .
In a release, Festival Committee 2022 convener Rakesh Naorem conveyed that during the visit, Committee's chairman and Imphal East Zilla Parishad adhyaksha P Bimo-la Devi announced that the stalls will be made available free of cost to Manipuris from Assam, Tripura and Bangladesh at the festival.
She also appealed to the public to support the festival to be organised in collaboration with Ibudhou Marjing Khubham Kanba Lup, Heingang under the aegis of Singju Yokhatpa Lup (SYOL) on the theme 'Save Our Indigenous Food, Culture and Integrity'.
The release further mentioned that Committee advisors Naoroibam Kham-ba Luwang, Konjengbam Jayanta; vice chairman S Premlata Devi; chief convener L Boby; festival director Konjengbam Dilip; programme chief co-ordi nator OC Meira; programme co-ordinators SK Apanba, Surendra Ningomba; finance secretary Waikhom Bihari, assistant finance secretary Kunjeshwor Mangsatabam and executive member Chongtham Jibanlata DeVi were also part of the inspection team.
