Rahman JAC warns of intense protest

Denouncing the killing of auto rickshaw driver Md Rahman (55) of Kshetrigao by unidentified miscreants, JAG Against the Brutal Killing of Md Rahman has cautioned of launching intense agitation if the authorities fail to produce the culprits within 48 hours.
Locals and meira paibi activists staged a sit-in protest near Cambridge School, Khergao against the killing of Md Rahman and subsequently formed the JAC.
Speaking in this regard, JAC convenor N Mani demanded the authorities concerned to launch magisterial enquiry and produce the culprits within the deadline set.
He further demanded filing of chargesheet within three months and punishing all the culprits according to the law of the land.
Drawing the attention of the chief minister for producing the culprits without further delay, Mani also informed that Rahaman was a former president of an auto association named 'Emoinu'.
The JAC also appealed to cease auto service if the authorities cannot produce the culprit (s) within 48 hours.
