State's GST collection down 2 pc

Imphal, October 01 2021:
Though the central government has collected Rs 1,17,010 crore as gross GST revenue in the month of September, the same for Manipur dipped by 2 per cent as compared to the previous year.
The gross GST revenue collected in the month of September 2021 is Rs 1,17,010 crore of which CGST is Rs 20,578 crore, SGST is Rs 26,767 crore, IGST is Rs 60,911 crore (including Rs 29,555 crore collected on import of goods) and Cess is Rs 8,754 crore (including Rs 623 crore collected on import of goods).
For Manipur, Rs 34 crore was collected as GST in September 2020 while it was Rs 33 crore for September this year.
The GST revenue collection for other north east states are Arunachal Pradesh (+ 56 per cent), Nagaland (* 3 per cent), Mizoram (+16 per cent), Tripura (0 per cent), Meghalaya (+20 per cent) and Assam (+6 per cent).
Centre had also released GST compensation of Rs 22,000 crore to states to meet their GST revenue gap.
