COVID-19 Task Force Kpi sanitizes Kangpokpi town

Kangpokpi, May 30 2021:
As a part of the preventive measures in Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency, COVID Task Force Kangpokpi sanitized the town area in Kangpokpi District Headquarters today.
The sanitization drive was carried out in the town in collaboration with Fire Sub station Kangpokpi.
It may be mentioned that the COVID Task Force Kangpokpi also purchased a hand pump for the Kangpokpi Youth Union volunteers who are engaged in burying COVID patients since the first wave on humanitarian ground.
The hand pump was handed over to the Kangpokpi Youth Union vice president today at the KYU office.
COVID Task Force Kangpokpi also embarked on sealing containment area in Kangpokpi Ward No 11 where one COVID-19 positive case was detected today.
The Task Force also assisted the health workers in evacuating the COVID patient from her residence to COVID Care Centre Leikop.
Meanwhile, COVID Task Force Kangpokpi also inspected all the localities of Kangpokpi District Headquarters and detained people found violating COVID-19 guidelines by opening shops in the locality.
The COVID Task Force Kangpokpi gave awareness on COVID Appropriate Behaviours including wearing face masks, washing of hand, maintaining social distance, etc to the violators at Kangpokpi Youth Union office and released them after strict warning to not open their shops till further notice from concerned authority.
Besides, 16 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of active cases in Kangpokpi district to 85 .
Mass COVID-19 testing of shopkeepers was also conducted by the Medical team of Saikul Community Health Center today at Saikul Hill town.
Out of 148 persons tested for COVID-19, no positive case was reported.
