MASTEC organises Vigyan Utsav

Manipur Science & Technology Council (MASTEC) on Wednesday organised Vigyan Utsav (Science Festival) initiated by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India on the theme "Science & Technology Institutions in the State" as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
In a release, MASTEC director Dr L Dinachandra Singh informed that the programme was inaugurated by deputy chief minister Y Joykumar Singh.
Science & Technology commissioner Devesh Deval delivered introductory speech and Dr Dinachandra highlighted in brief about the Science & Technology institutions in the state and also highlighted the activities carried out by MASTEC during the last few years.
During the programme, altogether four institutions namely Institute of Bio-resources & Sustainable Development (IBSD), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Manipur Centre, North East Institute of Science & Technology (CSIR-NEIST) Imphal Centre and FEEDs Group of Institutions Kangpokpi presented the activities carried out by their institutes, said the release.
The members of the Network of Science & Technology Councils across the country, researchers, teachers, officials of Science & Technology institutions/organisations in the state attended the programme, it added.
