Nupi Marup seeks PM's intervention

Apart from demanding disqualifi-cation of 10 Kuki MLAs who submitted a fabricated report to Union home minister Amit Shah, All Manipur Nupi Marup ap-pealed to the Prime Minister, home minister and defence minister to visit Manipur to take stock of situation and bring an end to ethnic clash.
According to a statement of All Manipur Nupi Marup, the report submitted by 10 Kuki MLAs including two cabinet ministers of the BJP government to Amit Shah on May 14 claiming that there are no tribal people in the valley and no Meetei in the hills after the May 3 violence was not only concocted but also totally wrong.
While cautioning that such reports will not worsen the situation, it also proposed that Manipur Legislative Assembly convene a special session to disqualify the 10 Kuki MLAs and drew attention of the Governor in this regard.
The women's organisation also condemned inaction of the state RIP president A Sharda and national BJP pres-ident JP Nadda against the 10 Kuki MLAs, who deemed fit to take action for presenting false report.
The Lup further said that Naga peace talks interlocutor AK Mishra secretly visited Kangpokpi district headquarters on May 11 and met leaders of some organisations including KNO and Thadou Youth Organ-isation.
During the meeting, leaders of the organisations made it clear that the ongoing agitation will continue until demand for separate administrationfor the Kukis is ceded and the 10 MLAs endorsed the same by pre-senting their fabricated report to Amit Shah on May 14, it alleged and expressed suspicion of presence of some vested interest people in the Union home and defence ministries to prolong the present crisis in Manipur.
