AMMDC backs 'war on drugs' mission

Lauding the 'war on drugs' mission of the government under the supervision of chief minister N Biren to fight the increasing drug menace in the state, All Manipur Muslim Development Committee (AMMDC) has said that they will fully support the campaign of the government.
In a release, AMMDC president Pusham Sayeed Ahamad opined that security forces need to be sincere in discharging their duty if the 'War on Drugs' mission is to be made successful.
Law enforcing agency, bureaucrats and legislators should also have an understanding and give full cooperation, he added.
Urging every community in the state to take a firm stand against sale and consumption of drugs, he exhorted all to take a resolution of declaring those who are abusing and dealing in drugs as 'enemies of the people'.
Sayeed also lauded the statement of CM about putting arrested drug dealers behind bars tor no less than a year, and extension of the prison term by another year.
