Wellness camp organised

Imphal, November 08 2021:
44 Assam Rifles of 22 Sector/IGAR (East) organised one day wellness camp as "Pumrih Maduih Camp" on Monday at Dikhuiram village of Tamei sub-division.
According to PIB (DW), the camp brought medical practitioner and free medicines near to home in the remotest areas of the Tamenglong district.
The aim of the camp was to provide free health check up for the senior citizens and residents of remote rural areas who have limited mobility due to physical and connectivity problems and it was a part of the ongoing efforts of the unit in its contribution towards Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
During the camp, the medical team of 44 Assam Rifles attended to 102 patients and distributed generic medicines to people of the area.
So far, the unit has vaccinated 4414 beneficiaries in 79 Covid vaccination sessions.
The unit mobile vaccination centres established for the same have been reaching out to public in far flung areas in coordination with district hospital medical team under Dr Gracy and local COVID task force, it added.
