Awareness prog on Thang-Ta held

Imphal, November 07 2021:
As a part of month-long observance of Thang-Ta Day, which began from October 16 under the theme 'Thang-Ta for Social Change', KANGLASA, Wakha in collaboration with KIMACS and Thang-fa Day Observation Committee organised an awareness programme at its training ground on Sunday.
The programme was attended by KANGLASHA president Leiphrakpam Meghachandra Moirang, KIMACS advisor Leitanthem Dhamendro, KANGLASHA chief instructor Hijam Sanahal Mangang and KIMACS advisor Takhellambam Parijat Meitei as presidium members.
KANGLASA players, local elders along with KIMACS and Thang-Ta Day Observation Committee members were also present during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Hijam Sanahal Mangang stressed the need for the masses to understand not just the outer form of Thang-Ta but also its inner philosophy.
Takhellambam Parijat Meitei stated that various communities of the state must unite and learn the ancient art form of Thang-Ta to make the name of the state known world over.
