MLAs vow to uphold public trust, protect state

Thanga MLA Tong-bram Robindro has assured to uphold the trust of the people in him as their representative and will do the needful in the political landscape to protect the unity and integrity of the state.
The MLA distributed food items for 10 days for around 1600 displaced people tak-ing refuge in 16 relief camps located in Mange AC on Tuesday.
Interacting with the public, Robindro said that he was elected by the peo-ple and he will uphold their trust by doing the needful in the political landscape to ensure that the state's unity and integrity is protected and justice is served.
Wangjing-Tentha MLA Pa-onam Brojen also declared that he work as per the wish-es of the people and will not hesitate to sacrifice his life to protect the territorial integ-rity of Manipur.
Addressing a press meet at his official quarters on Tuesday, MLA Brojen said that he was shocked to hear the death of a youth from his locality called Kiran and another getting injured.
While informing that he has been urging for the Central government's in-tervention in controlling the violence and restoring peace in the state, the MIA expressed confidence that the Centre will take up resolute actions to restore peace while pledging to lead the public if the situation takes an even uglier turn and there is im-minent threat to the integrity of the state.
Wabagai MLA Dr Usham Deben too affirmed that he will resign and join the public if the present crisis in any way impacts Manipur's integrity, unity and state's interest.
Speaking to media persons during visits to various relief camps set up in Wabagai AC for people displaced from Sugnu and Serou areas on Tuesday, Dr Deben contended as an MLA, he has been working out on how to resolve the situation and declared that protecting the state is more important than being an MIA.
The MLA also announced to provide all needs of the relief camps opened in the constituency.
He also distributed relief items and monetary aid to the various relief camps during his visit.
Meanwhile, a team of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Ka-kching District Branch under the aegis of IRCS Manipur State led by its secretary Ksh Dhar-madas provided tarpaulin, mosquito nets, hygiene kits, etc., to relief camps at Victory High School, Kakching Public School, Kakching Wairi Kongoi Bazar and Wangoo on Tuesday.
On Monday, a team of IRCS Kakching District Branch led by (RCS Manipur chairman Narendra Ningomba pro-vided relief items to people of Thongjao, Langmeidong, Wabagai and Keirak.
