LDA employees demand 7th Pay scale

Bishnupur, October 29 2021:
Pressing the demands for implementation of 7th Central Pay Commission (ROP 2019) for LDA work charged and regular employees along with providing pensionary and other benefits to LDA employees on par with the state government's employees and regularisation of work charged employees, Loktak Development Authority (LDA) Workers and Employees' Union started its sit-in-protest from Friday at the gate of LDA Office, Toupokpi.
The sit-in protest will continue till October 31.The Union warned that if the government does not listen to their demands, they will resort to locking up of LDA Office and workshop on November 2, cease work strike from November 3 and even block the Loktak Project canal which is supplying water to NHPC for electricity general from November 8 in case the government does not take any positive measures.
The protest was participated by numerous members of LDA Workers and Employees' Union holding placards in support of their demands.
