DC reviews arrangements for Guv, CM's visit

In view of the planned visit of the governor and the chief minister to Tamenglong district in the first week of December, deputy commissioner H Worshang chaired a district level officers' meeting at the mini secretariat conference hall, Tamenglong headquarters, on Friday.
As chief minister N Biren is planning to visit Kuilong village in Tamei sub-division as part of the government's outreach programme, DC Worshang instructed officials of the various departments present during the meeting to be part of the outreach programme so that the public get maximum benefits from the government departments.
Since Kuilong Village Part I is located in the most interior part of Tamei sub-division, arrangement for helipad, road connectivity, water supply and toilet arrangement and accommodation for the VIPs were the main agenda discussed during the meeting.
Some of the departments which participated in the meeting included horticulture, fisheries, handloom and textiles, agriculture, power department, veterinary and forest department.
On the other-hand, Governor La Ganesan will be visiting the district on December 7 and interact with the public and CSOs.
The DC also directed the government officials to be present to receive the Governor of Manipur.
Further, DC Worshang instructed the SDOs concerned of Tamenglong, Tamei and Tousem sub-division to convince the village authorities for depositing their licensed guns at the earliest.
