CRPF unit conducts HGT rally, plants trees

As a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, 69 Bn CRPF, Mantripukhri organised a special campaign for "Har Ghar Tiranga" (HGT) by carrying out a rally in Mantripukhri and its adjoining areas under the supervision of commandant Bajrang Lal.
All officers and jawans of the CRPF unit took part in the rally and distributed National Flags to the civilians to encourage them to bring Tiranga home and hoist it to mark 75th year of India's Independence, said a release.
CO Bajrang also appealed to the civil populace that bringing the flag at home collectively as a nation to mark 75th year of Independence becomes symbolic not only an act of personal connection to the Uranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building.
The release also added that the battalion organised a mass plantation programme at its headquarters, NIT campus Langol and Keithalmanbi on Thursday.
The tree plantation drive was held as part of 'Van-mohatsav' celebration to make the earth green and clean, said the release, adding that around 750 saplings were planted by officers, 80s and men of the unit.
