Rhythms of Manipur troupes return

A 16-member troupe of the Rhythms of Manipur returned home on Tuesday after the three-day 2nd North East India Festival 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand.
During the festival, the Rhythms of Manipur presented national-award-winning fusion music dancing drummers, state song 'Sana Leibak Manipur' and folk song that enthralled the audience including dignitaries of both India and Thailand, officials and tourists on July 30 and 31 at Central World, Bangkok.
The North East India Festival was organised to mark 75 years of India's diplomatic relationship with Thailand.
The Rhythms of Manipur received standing ovation from the audience for their performances.
The troupe was sponsored by Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi and hosted by Indian Embassy, Bangkok.
The festival which started from July 29 was attended by chief ministers and ministers from northeast states of India.
Union minister of state for external affairs & education minister Rajkumar Ranjan was the chief guest of the festival.
He commended the Rhythms of Manipur for their stirring performances at the festival.
It may be noted that the Rhythms of Manipur has performed in many countries since 2013 .
