Ex-ADCs demand pension, nod to Bill

All Hill Areas Autonomous District Councils, Ex ADC's Association, Manipur has threatened to launch democratic form of agitation if the state government fails to implement the long pending demand for payment of pension to the former ADCs.
In a release, the association informed that a meeting was held at the District Council Bhavan, Chingmeirong on October 14 and adopted several resolutions, including formal intimation to the state government to convene a special assembly session and pass the ADC Bill 2021.With regard to the ongoing recruitment process in the six ADCs of Manipur, the association decided not to allow conduct of DPC before holding elections to the ADCs, it added.
The release further informed that new district level sub-committees have been constituted with RK Kaba in charge of Senapati, Meirijin Rongmei Naga (Tamenglong), ex-vice chairman Paolun (Churachandpur), RK Star (Ukhrul), Beradin Shilshi (Chandel) and ex-vice chairman Thangjakan Misao entrusted to oversee relevant affairs in Kangpokpi district.
