AR holds lecture, interaction prog

Keithelmanbi Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a lecture on the role of students in nation building and inspiring them to join Armed Forces at Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School in Thoubal district on August 6 .
According to PRO IGAR (S), the main objective of the lecture was to communicate with the students on their pivotal role in nation building, how they should channelise their youthful energy and creativity for betterment of their community and nation.
A total of 320 students and 25 teachers including the principal of Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School attended the lecture.
The students were also motivated and briefed in detail about the various entry schemes in the Armed Forces including recently the launched Agnipath Scheme.
Meanwhile, the Battalion organised an interaction with meira paibi at Canchipur Company Operating Base in Imphal West district on August 6.Various initiatives towards youth empowerment, security and education were discussed and deliberated upon to put in place sustained and coordinated efforts.
The meet provided the platform for discussion on important issues including drug menace and working in harmony with Assam Rifles towards achieving common goal of peace and development.
The Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) appreciated the continuous efforts of Assam Rifles on all fronts towards ensuring harmony and tranquility and assisting local populace in myriad ways.
A total of 20 meira paibi attended the meet.
