Imphal, October 04 2022:
A team of Bishnupur district police commando arrested two truck drivers who were transporting 600 bags of urea fertilizer without valid document.
According to a police source, the commando team led by ASI Gyanen Kshetriya stopped two trucks coming from Imphal side on October 1 and found 600 bags of urea inside.
Both the trucks and drivers were handed over to Bishnupur police station for further verification and investigation confirmed that the urea bags were loaded from a warehouse at Lamphelpat.
As per record at the warehouse, the urea bags were to be transported to Churachandpur district.
Due to suspicion that the cash memo used in lifting the urea from the warehouse could be fake, Bishnupur PS registered an FIR and both the nabbed drivers were sent to four days police custody for questioning after being produced before the court of CJM Bishnupur.
