MLA Loken inspects CHIC, health centres

Bishnupur, May 30 2021: Nambol MLA N Loken on Sunday assessed condition and operation of Community Home Isolation Centre (CHIC) set up at SK Women's College, CHC Nambol and PHC Leimapok- pam and provided necessary items to both the patients and volunteers.

The MLA observed Covid patients staying in the CHIC by maintaining social distancing and provided essential items including PPE kits, hand sanitizers and face masks among others to the volunteers who are manning the centre.

Later, the MLA handed over essential items to PHC Leimapokpam.

Mention may be made here that more than 200 people of Nambol constituency tested positive for Covid-19, out of which 63 patients are staying the CHIC set up at SK Women's College.

College's former chairman N Ibomcha donated a sum of Rs 10,000 and assistant professor (Geography department) Ch Rameshwar handed over Rs 5,000 to chairman of the CHIC MLA Loken so as to aid in maintaining the centre.
