Kakching MLA vows uplift of health sector

Informing that the central government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 53.35 crore for the setting up of Kakching district hospi -tal, MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar has assured that necessary efforts will be made to make Kakching the best district in health care sector in 5 years' time.
Speaking as chief guest of a day-long workshop on adolescent health organised by District Health Society, Kakching under the Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Kaiyakram (RKSK) at the Kakching Municipal Council conference hall on Tuesday, Rameshwar pointed out that as the youth are the assets of the society they should be brought up in healthy environment and led along the right path.
Presided over by Chief Medical Officer/Mission Director District Health Society, Kakching Dr Thaodem Rajen, the function was also attended by Urban Primary Health Centre, Kakching Medical Officer in charge Dr Pukhrambam Robin as guest of honour.
The function participated by staff of District Health Society, Kakching, ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers, had DPHNO, Kakching W Hemabati Devi speaking on the topic "Introduction to Adolescent Health and Its importance", RKSK, Kakching district nodal officer Dr Elangbam Kiran Singh on "Adolescent Health Programme implementation and its roll out" and RKSK counsellor L Ush-akiran on the topic "RKSK Programme Reporting" as resource persons.
