Donation made in Hijam Irabot's name

Late newspaper hawker Khoisnam Koba's son Khoisnam Tokyo has announced that the donation he makes every year to Manipur Hawkers' Association in connection with its foundation day will be dedicated in the name of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot from this year onwards.
Khoisnam Koba donated some amount of money in the name of his late father to the Association every year and this year's donation amounting Rs 5,000 has been handed over to Associatien president Ajit Wangkhemcha and treasurer Oinam Scot on Monday.
Tokyo also gives Rs 200 every year to 19 widows and poor families of his locality and he is planning to start a pension scheme in the name of his mother from this year.
According to Manipur Hawkers' Association president Ajit Wangkhemcha, Tokyo's decision to make his annual donation to the Association in the name of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot in honour of the legendary revolutionary leader's effort to disseminate news to public through hand written papers in 1947 indeed is encouraging and it will be an additional honour to newspaper hawkers.
