AR facilitates medical care for Khongsang villagers

Noney Battalion Assam Rifles of 22 Sector/IGAR (East) organised a free medical camp at Khongsang village on Tuesday to commemorate the 75th year of independence 'Alzadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav'.
Keeping in mind the problems faced by the remote villagers due to the COVID-19 pandemic and common morbidities of monsoon season affecting local populace, the Noney Battalion organised the free medical camp and provided medical assistance and also distributed medicines to the villagers of Khongsang and surrounding areas.
The free medical camp commenced with an informative lecture on 'Justice for Health' where, locals were enlightened on basic healthcare issues including precautions against viral diseases and Covid Appropriate Behaviour as well as importance of hygiene and sanitation for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
A total of 74 civilians, including 30 females and i8 children were given treatment and provided medicines free of cost.
The camp also emphasised on dissemination of information on various guidelines issued by the health authorities along with ongoing vaccination drive being carried out.
All COVID-19 precautionary measures were followed during the camp.
