Interacting with the media, Anil said that the damaged bridge has hampered transportation of essential commodities along the national highway 37 .
They found NHIDCL team led by the project manager at the site and he assured of completing the repair work within one month.
They also met chief minister N Biren on Friday and apprised him about the situation, during which the CM conveyed that he had already asked NHIDCL officials to repair the bridge at the earliest.
He thanked the CM for his prompt directive.
Mention may be made here that the bridge got sunken on May 12 following incessant rainfall resulting in restrictions on heavy trucks from crossing the bridge.
Following the incident, a diversion route is being used via the Khoupum-Rengpang road to allow regular traffic.
