'New India @75' campaig n phase-I concludes

Phase-I of 'New India @ 75' campaign on awareness about HIV, Tuberculosis and Blood Donation for school and college students concluded on Friday with prize distributions held in the respective district HQs.
In a statement, Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) project director Haobam Rosita informed that altogether 54 competitions on the themes of HIV Awareness, Tuberculosis Awareness and Blood Donation Awareness at the school and college levels were organised by MACS in partnership with District AIDS Prevention Control Units (DAPCU) in all the districts.
The Phase-I campaign was virtually launched on August 12 (International Youth Day) by Union Health and Family minister Mansukh Mandaviya with the participation of students and teachers of schools and colleges across the country from their respective states.
It also stated that during the Phase-I of the campaign, 32 colleges and 25 schools were selected from Manipur and more than 1000 students participated in painting, face colouring and video competitions organised in all the districts.
The Phase-II of Blood Donation Awareness will commence from October 1 followed by launch of HIV and Tuberculosis Awareness on October 12.As in Phase-I, various competitions will be conducted at the school and college levels, it added.
