Kakching PSA Oxygen Plant inaugurated

PM Cares PSA Oxygen Plant at Kakching was among 35 Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) Oxygen Plants constructed under PM Cares Fund inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday during an event held at AIIMS-Rishikesh in Uttarakhand.
Inauguration ceremony of the oxygen plant constructed near Community Health Centre, Kakching was organised by District Health Society (DHS) and attended by Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar as chief guest, DHS Kakching chairman and DC D Gangmei as president while CMO Mission Director-District Health Society Dr Thaodem Rajen and SP Victoria Yengkhom were the guests of honour.
District Family Welfare Officer/District Surveillance Officer Kakching Dr Kesho Singh Moirangthem, CHC Kakching MO in charge Dr Kshetrimayum Sumati and others also attended the event.
Speaking as chief guest of the event, MLA Rameshwar expressed elation over inauguration of the PSA Oxygen Plant constructed under PM Cares Fund and this shows sincerity of PM Modi and chief minister N Biren in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and their effort to contain the contagion.
He also said that construction of a 100-bedded COVID hospital near CHC Kakching would begin soon and foundation for the hospital building designed in coordination with IIT Chennai will be laid with modern technology.
All construction materials for the hospital will be brought from Chennai and the construction would be completed within the tenure of the present government, he assured.
CMO Dr Rajen disclosed that the just inaugurated Oxygen Plant has the capacity of 250 LPM and it will supply oxygen to patients at CHC Kakching and yet to be constructed COVID hospital.
