Shiv Sena urges for railway recruitment policy

In the light of train service reaching the state, Shiv Sena Manipur unit president M Tombi has urged the state government to frame a railway recruitment policy of the state to provide job opportunity to local indigenous people.
Addressing a press meet in connection with the shifting of the party's office to a new location here on Thursday, Tombi said that unemployment rate is high in the state, due to which many eligible youths are resorting to substance abuse.
With rail service reaching the state, some vacancies will definitely crop up and framing a recruitment policy will help in securing jobs for the state youth, he said.
Tombi also drew attention of the government over the inability of the government to declare the results of 10th and 11th IRB recruitment and for taking up initiatives to support youth in taking up entrepreneurial works.
He also stressed the need for expansion of existing markets in the outskirts of Imphal city, constructing over-bridges to ease traffic congestions, construction of parking lots, reservation for women from minority communities, and making the election free and fair.
As for construction of parking lots, the government can take up initiatives to shift the army camp near Johnstone Higher Secondary School to another location, he opined.
He informed that Shiv Sena MPs Rahul Sehwale and Sambhaji Shinde would be visiting Imphal shortly to chalk out strategies to strengthen the party and assess preparedness for the upcoming elections to the local bodies.
