Churachandpur, October 05 2021:
An intending candidate from 59-Saikot Assembly Constituency, Dr George T Haokip on Tuesday inaugurated Bethel Children Park at Valpakot, Churachandpur district.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr George noted that even though Saikot AC is situated within the vicinity of Churachandpur town, it is one of the most neglected constituencies in the state while adding that the situation would, however, be different after the 2022 assembly election if he gets the mandate of the people.
"Various development projects will be launched.
Communication and transportation will be prioritized.
Saikot Guest House will come up in Imphal to offer free accommodation to people who visit the state's capital for medical emergencies and other purposes.
Besides, Skill Development Training Centres will be set up at different places of the constituency to train unemployed educated youth so as to make them self-reliant", he said.
"There will be no place for money and muscle power as the majority of the people wants to see change," he asserted.
By making use of various development programmes and schemes allocated by the government in the budget, various initiatives to improve livelihoods of the people and to create opportunities for occupation will be explored," Dr George added.
Chief guest Dr George T Haokip inaugurated the park by cutting ribbon and delivered a speech.
After a speech from chief of Valpakot, there was a special presentation from Bethel Kids Club.
At the event, Pastor James Ralsun, Hmar Christian Chruch Imphal, prayed for the park and Dr George T Haokip.
