1115 non-locals detected sans ILP pass: JCILPS

The Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS), Manipur continues to conduct verification of non-locals at different places of the state since November 18 and till December 2 has carried out the verification drive's nine times.
According to a statement of JCILPS co-convener Wareppa Second, the committee verified 1,115 non-locals on Decembers and 610 of them were not in possession of ILP document while 400 of the remaining 505 non-locals were found issued token for ILP application and 105 of them were in possession of ILP pass application forms.
This means that none of the 1,115 non-locals detected by the committee possessed ILP passes at all.
Meanwhile, students' wing of the committee convened a general body meet on Thursday following lapse of term and the meet appointed new office bearers for the next tenure.
The new office bearers are AMSU president Haobijam Chalamba as convener, MSF vice president Maibam Julesh as co-convener, and KSA deputy secretary L Phajol and SUK cultural secretary Akham Robinson as co-conveners.
