Thoubal, July 30 2021:
Social worker Kangabam Jadumani has extended complete financial support for 15 years old boy from Yairipok Bishnunaha Awang Leikai who has been unable to get treatment for deformities in his brain due to
monetary problems since the last 6 years.
The boy has been taken to National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) in Bangalore today with assistance from Kangabam Jadumani.
Kangabam Jadumani said the deformity in the brain had developed back in 2015 and had resulted in physical deformities.
The parents tried everything they could, even, selling their land to meet the financial requirements for the treatment.
As the doctors have confirmed that the boy is suffering from Severe Combined Immuno Deficiency (SCID), the best course of treatment can be had from NIMHANS and the decision was taken to take him there after discussion with the parents, he added.
