Random mass testing continues in Jiribam

Jiribam, June 06 2021:
Random mass COVID-19 testing has been undergoing successfully at different places of Jiribam since June 5 .
Acting on the order of CMO Jiribam, mass testing was conducted on Sunday at three places including at Barak circle.
Localities where COVID-19 testing were conducted on Sunday include Ward No 2, 5, 6 of Borobekra GP and the mass testing for these localities were conducted at Rajib Bhavan and nine people were found positive.
For Kamaranga locality, mass testing was conducted at Kamaranga Muslim Club building where seven positive cases were detected.
Mass testing for Kadamtala was conducted at local community hall and no positive case was detected.
Altogether 19 positive cases were detected on Sunday in Jiribam district including three positive cases detected at the check point near Jiri bridge.
As of Sunday, active cases in Jiribam remain 135, of which 17 are staying at Community Home Isolation Centre, 27 at COVID Care Centre and 91 in home isolation.
