Unity, integrity will be protected: IPR minister DIPR

Information & Public Relations (IPR) minister Dr S Ranjan said that all possible means will be taken up to protect the unity and integrity of the state.
The stand of the government to eliminate those miscreants who are trying to hamper the peaceful atmosphere of the state will remain un-changed, he affirmed.
Speaking to media per-sons at the conference hall of DIPR here on Sunday, minister Ranjan lamented that the crisis that broke out on May 3 has left a distressed atmosphere in state.
The government is taking up steps to bring back normalcy in the state, he said and appealed to the public to cooperate with the government.
Ranjan said that there is apprehension among the public all over the state due to the ongoing crisis.
Protecting the integrity of the state is most import-ant in this juncture.
The government always stands to fulfil the wish of the people.
The cruel act of the miscreants will never be compromised, he said.
He also reaffirmed that the posts of MLAs and ministers are not more important than the integ-rity and unity of the state.
He will continue to work with the people to protect the unity and integrity of the state, Ranjan main-tained.
