Imphal, January 25 2023:
The armed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) has appealed to all the people of Kangleipak (Manipur) to effectively boycott India's Republic Day celebration while asserting that the government of India should not live under the impression that people of Kangleipak would be intimidated to give up the struggle for regaining the sovereign status of Kangleipak.
Further stating that the people will always stand for the restoration of the sovereignty of Kangleipak, a KCP statement issued by its deputy secretary of information & public relations department M Punsiba Meitei, said that the Politburo Standing Committee of the party decided to impose total ban on any events related with Republic Day of India, who robbed the right to self-determination of the Kanglei people in 1949.The decision was taken in view of the fact that organising Republic Day events in Kangleipak can have a legitimising effect of India's occupation of Kan gleipak and that reversing the occupation is the only means for the Kanglei people to survive as a unique nation and keeping intact the national identity.
The KCP statement further said that some political puppets of New Delhi along with vested interests have been trying very hard to discredit and destroy the armed liberation movement of Kangleipak not only with the help of Indian occupational forces but also through propa ganda and lies on the so-called development activities funded by the Government of India, which are conveniently spread on occasions-like the Republic Day celebration.
