Donations pour in to Chief Minister's Relief Fund

Imphal, May 17 2023:
In view of the challenges faced by the State Government in providing relief measures to the people affected by the recent turmoil, the management of Bir Tikendrajit University, Canchipur, Imphal has made a contribution of Rs 1,00,000 to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Manipur.
The Governing Body of Shree Shree Gourgovind Girls' College, Khurai, Imphal East, and Director, CMC Churachandpur, Prof Soubam Iboyaima have also made a contribution of Rs 20,000 each to the CM's Relief Fund to help the people who have been displaced by the recent civic disturbances.
Manipur Gorkha CSO's and general secretary of MHGEWA have also made similar donations amounting to Rs 2,00,000 each; St John Ambulance (India), Manipur State Centre contributed Rs 1,00,000; and Thoudam Shyam of Kontha Khabam, Chumbrei Thong donated Rs 10,000 .
In this regard, Chief Minister N Biren Singh has expressed his gratitude to all the individuals and institutions for generously donating to the CM's Relief Fund.
It may be mentioned that any contribution made to the fund will enjoy tax exemption under Section 80G .
