Workshop on science writing training in November

Manipur Science & Technology Council (MSTC) has invited application from interested candidates for three days Training Workshop for Science Communicators on Script Development/Writing on the theme Covid-19 starting from November 9 at Manipur Science Centre Takyelpat conference hall.
According to Council director Dr L Dinachandra the workshop is aimed at imparting training to the budding science writers for enhancement of science coverage in various forms of media namely print and electronic, etc! A series of lectures accompanied by practical on script development/demonstrations, group discussions will be delivered by eminent science popularisation activists/resource persons during the workshop to be conducted under the support of National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), Department of Science and Technology.
The number of seat is limited and selection of participants will be made on first come first served basis, it informed.
Interested participants are informed to start writing a script in regional language (Manipuri) on the theme (Covid-19) and submit the same to programme coordinator during the course of the workshop.
The experts will evaluate the/Script for improvement, if any, and it will be compiled and published for future reference.
Participation certificates will be given to the participants, it further informed.
To be eligible, candidates must be a graduate or above in any field of science/Mass communication or a professional graduate (medical/engineering, etc) or equivalent.
