Training on soft toy making underway

Imphal, June 28 2022:
A 45-day long vocational training courses on soft toy making for the children of Nabalini Astham and Nirvana Foundation Open Shelter for Girls, organised by District Child Protection Unit, Imphal West of Department of Social Welfare commenced from Monday at the recreation Hall of Nabalini Astham, at Ghari Awang Leikai.
In a release, DCPU IW protection officer (IC) Moirangthem Sarda Devi informed that the inauguration function was attended by District Child Protection Officer, DCPU IW Yurembam Indramani, ex-chairperson of Child Welfare Committee, Imphal West Thiyam Rajkishore, chairperson of Child Welfare Committee of Imphal West Geetabali Sanasam, secretary of Nirvana Foundation Sobhana Sorokhaibam and instructor of M/S ST Soft Toys ,Haobam Marak Ngangom Leikai Salam Tamubi Devi, among others.
The Programmed is being participated by 19 children aged 14 to 18 years.
The said programme is organised to let the children to experience the exposure of their inner talents and to develop independent living skill in the long run, informed Sarda.
