Imphal, January 16 2023:
NH-37 Compensation Left Out Properties Land & Structures Owners' Association (NCLPLSOA) has deplored the complaint hied against the joint survey conducted on January 5 with SDO Office, Nungba staff, linked department, NHIDCL officials, RP construction and local villages on the NH 37 from the chainage No 101+280 to 131+280 between Khongsang and Kambiron, Nungba sub-division, Noney district to assess the left-out properties including graveyard and collateral damages.
As per a representation submitted to deputy commissioner, Noney on Monday, NCLPLSOA convener Dinrei Gangmei and secretary Languingam Gonmei lamented that some vested interests using the defunct/ dissolved JAC on NH 37 Land and Properties Affected Owners Association complained against the survey to DC Noney alleging that SDO Nungba staff maliciously and intentionally excluded some rightful land and property owners.
While rubbishing the complaint as unfounded and baseless, NCLPLSOA emphasised that there was no case of any malicious intention by the official concerned, while adding that as per NHIDCL instruction structures which have been constructed or are under construction after the payment of last compensation were not allowed/included under the purview of the joint survey, except those left out structures before the last payment of compensation.
The Association also refuted the allegation levelled by the defunct JAC that the assessment team sidelined Gaibilung Kamei, who claimed to be the Nungba Village Authority gazette chairman as completely misleading and fit case to be booked under the law of the land because he is not a member of the Nungba VA nor published in the official gazette as Nungba VA chairman.
It will be unwise on the part of the district administration to cede to the demand of such individuals who petitioned the district administration not to carry out eviction after they had withdrawn the compensation money in the last payment.
It will tantamount to promoting baseless and fictitious claims of those individuals, it mentioned.
NCLPLSOA further implored authorities concerned to approve and recommend the joint survey report which was conducted on January 5 and carry forward the matter to relevant authorities for early payment of the left out compensation.
