Minister Awangbow condemns Nagaland killings

Forest minister Awangbow Newmai has on Monday condemned the killing of 14 civilians in Mon district in Nagaland.
He also appealed for peace and maintaining communal harmony in the society.
Speaking as chief guest at the inauguration of the 1st Youth Gospel Olympic held at Berean Baptist Academy Campus in Khumji, Noney district organised by Berean Baptist Ministry, Awangbow stressed that as the future belongs to the youth they need to choose the right future.
He also motivated the youth to explore their talents and work towards it with a sacrificial spirit to achieve success and mentioned that worldly as well as spiritual peace come from the God.
The event was also attended by NPF Mahipur vice president Khangthuanang Panmei, who is also former MLA of Tamenglorig AC, is functional president in presence of Berean Baptist Ministry founder Rev BT Pousiam.
The Olympic was conducted under the motto "Towards the Goal through Christ" and will continue till December 15.Altogether 38 football and six volleyball teams from Imphal, Tamenglong and Noney districts are taking part in the Gospel Olympic.
In the first football match, BBA and NTYC Settled for a 2-2 draw while Alpha & Omega defeated Chinikoh 3-0 .
