Ex-MLA TT Haokip announces candidacy

Former Henglep MLA T T Haokip, who had resigned on June 17, 2020 after a difference cropped up with his party leadership led by CM N Biren Singh, has announced that he will contest the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election.
Addressing a press conference at his residence in Molnom village on Sunday, TT Haokip said that he has contested assembly elections eight time since 1994 and got elected for the first time in the 1998 by-election.
Starting from that point of time, he gave top priority to improvement of road connectivity to Henglep, development and other issues.
He cpntinued that during the present assembly term he had a short stint as MLA and as a result could not implement development projects in Henglep.
The former MLA also lambasted his predecessor's failure to develop the area even after getting elected for four consecutive terms.
