CCpur village achieves 100 pc vaccination

Amid vaccine hesitancy fuelled by rumours, more than 60,000 people in different parts of Churachandpur district have been administered COVID-19 vaccine so far.
The total number of people taking the vaccine per day is about 1400 with Sumchin-vum village achieving 100 percent vaccination of its adult population.
Stating this during an interaction with media persons on Monday, Churachandpur district deputy commissioner Pawan Yadav also informed that steps are being taken up to reward the best performing villages during the next Independence Day celebration.
The DC said that a church leader level meeting on mass Covid-19 free vaccination is planned for Tuesday (July 6) at Mini Secretariat Conference Hall to achieve vaccination target by year end.
He also informed that alongside mass plantation of fruit bearing trees in the areas identified as practising massive poppy plantation, a meeting with all leaders of philanthropic organizations would be convened.
