Agigating employees reject government proposal

Imphal, September 03 2021:
In a bid to break the impasse regarding the cease work strike being launched by employees' organisation, the state government and the agitating employees held the second round of talks on Thursday.
However, the organisation rejected the proposal brought up by the government.
In a letter sent to joint secretary (finance), Manipur Government Services Federation president Dr M Rajendra conveyed that a meeting of Federation thoroughly discussed the government's proposal brought up during to the second round of talks held at the office of Deputy CM.
resolved to make room tor an understanding.
Moreover, a proposal of the agitating organisations is being prepared to be given to the government if required.
It is said that during the second round of talks, the government proposed to release DA/DRA at three intervals i.e., on October, December and July 2022 and at 7 per cent each.
The said proposal was rejected by the organisation.
In order to end the protest of the employees and find a solution, the government and the employees might go for a third round of talks, said informed sources.
